Pixel advertising is the term given to visual advertisements on the web, which have their cost calculated
dependent on the number of pixels which they occupy.
At the perfect pixel, the cost is set an an affordable
$0.00 per pixel.
Pixel advertising gained popularity in the last quarter of 2005 when British student Alex Tew created a
website named The Million Dollar Homepage, and solicited advertisers to buy ad space there.
Mr. Tew set the price at $1 USD per pixel, and there were 1 million pixels of space available.
In approximately five months all of the ad space was sold and Mr. Tew had made over one million dollars.
This made news worldwide and gained public and business interest in pixel ads.
While we admire Mr. Tew's enterprising attitude, and are actually quite jealous that we didn't think of it
first, we have come to realize that the concept is not much different than any free-for-all link page. It is,
however a whole lot prettier.
We at the PerfectPixelPage.com have decided to combine the best of both, and have married the cost
of a free links page with the visual appeal of a pixel page.
